Overview: The Analyst for Issuing Solutions Risk Management is an ideal position for a detail-oriented professional interested in operational risk management, governance, compliance, and controls oversight. Reporting to the Senior Director of Issuing Solutions Risk Management and supporting the Issuing Solutions Program Governance Office, this role is responsible for coordinating governance activities that strengthen risk visibility, control effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across Issuing Solutions products and services.

The Analyst will support the execution and administration of the Issuing Solutions governance framework by maintaining governance artifacts, risk registers, control inventories, regulatory obligation repositories, and governance reporting. This role is responsible for helping ensure that risks, controls, issues, audits, incidents, and compliance requirements are documented, monitored, and managed consistently across the organization.

The individual will partner closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams to support governance reviews, monitor remediation activities, track key risk indicators, and provide reporting that enables informed decision-making. Through strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, the Analyst will help maintain a scalable governance operating model that supports the growth, resiliency, and compliance of Issuing Solutions products and services.

The Analyst will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline governance processes, improve reporting, enhance data quality, and support automation initiatives that strengthen risk management capabilities.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Analyst will help strengthen the Issuing Solutions control environment, improve governance transparency, and support the successful achievement of business and risk management objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance Artifact Management: Maintain risk registers, control inventories, regulatory obligation repositories, governance documentation, and related governance records.

Risk and Control Oversight: Support Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities, maintain risk and control documentation, and assist in monitoring control effectiveness.

Issue and Remediation Management: Track issues, action plans, and remediation activities, ensuring commitments, milestones, and target dates are monitored and reported.

Audit and Assurance Support: Coordinate documentation requests, governance artifacts, evidence packages, and stakeholder responses for audit, compliance, and regulatory reviews.

Reporting and Metrics: Produce governance dashboards, key risk indicator (KRI) reporting, executive summaries, committee materials, and recurring governance reports.

Product Governance Reviews: Support governance reviews for new products, services, features, and significant changes by coordinating documentation, approvals, and governance requirements.

Incident and Risk Monitoring: Assist in monitoring operational incidents, emerging risks, and trends to support risk assessment and management activities.

Regulatory and Compliance Coordination: Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to help ensure regulatory requirements, client obligations, and control expectations are documented and maintained.

Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to support governance activities and communicate status, risks, and actions.

Data Analysis and Governance Reporting: Analyze governance data, identify trends and gaps, and provide reporting that supports management decision-making and risk oversight.

Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to improve governance processes, reporting capabilities, workflow efficiency, and governance automation.

Training and Awareness: Assist in developing governance guidance, training materials, and awareness activities that promote effective risk management and control practices across Issuing Solutions.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Experience in risk management, governance, compliance, audit, business operations, financial services, payments, technology, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation, records, and reporting
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate activities across stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Interest in risk management, governance, controls, compliance, and operational excellence
• Experience in payments, financial services, banking, fintech, technology, risk management, compliance, audit, or governance functions
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks, Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), issue management, control monitoring, or audit processes
• Experience supporting governance committees, executive reporting, metrics reporting, or risk dashboards
• Knowledge of operational risk, regulatory compliance, control frameworks, and internal control concepts
• Experience maintaining risk registers, control inventories, issue trackers, regulatory obligation repositories, or governance documentation
• Ability to gather, organize, and analyze information from multiple stakeholders and data sources
• Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support automation and operational efficiency initiatives
• Experience supporting audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, or assurance activities
• Experience with, or a strong desire to learn and apply, AI-enabled solutions to improve governance effectiveness, reporting, operational efficiency, process automation, and decision-making
• Knowledge of issuer processing, payment processing, card products, digital payments, or payment technology solutions preferred
• Ability to build strong working relationships across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Audit organizations
• Demonstrates Visa Leadership Principles and a commitment to a strong risk and control culture

Information for US Applicants
For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $89,200.00 to $ 138,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
