Full Job Description
This position supports the development, operation, and ongoing improvement of data, financial, and reporting processes within AAAS program and platform environments. The Program Analyst works with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to support Finance system maintenance and configuration, assist with Finance system implementations and issue resolution, perform Finance system user access administration, and to provide support for Finance audit documentation.

The role focuses on hands-on analysis, data quality assurance, financial reconciliation, and operational support, while following established best practices for ETL, financial controls and documentation.

What You'll Do

  • Supports routine Finance system maintenance, configuration changes, and basic administration tasks.
  • Meets with Finance system vendors to assist with implementations, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Performs limited user access administration for Finance systems following established procedures.
  • Acts as a liaison between Finance, vendors, and IT to communicate requirements and coordinate larger technical changes.
  • Assists with testing, reconciliation, documentation, and audit support related to Finance including systems implemented by IT.


Minimum Qualifications

  • The Program Analyst II requires a person with a minimum Bachelor's level degree in a technology related field.
  • Experience using Excel, SQL, Power BI to manage, analyze, and validate data.
  • Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues and inconsistencies across systems.
  • Ability to document processes, reconciliations, and findings clearly and accurately.
  • Experience with General Ledger (GL) transactions and financial reporting and basic accounting concepts.
  • Experience with financial reconciliation and audit best practices.
  • Experience working with or supporting integrations involving payment processors and financial vendors

The anticipated initial rate of compensation for this position is $99,000 - $127,000 per year. AAAS currently provides the following benefits for this position: paid vacation leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance, flexible spending account, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, retirement benefits, short- and long-term disability, each subject to the terms of the applicable program. Additional benefits may apply.
