Description

General Overview of Position:

ARCXIS is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to support our growing operations in Minnesota. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing land surveying activities, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering accurate, high-quality survey data to support residential and commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, sound professional judgment, and the ability to lead field and office survey efforts while maintaining ARCXIS's commitment to quality and service.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform and oversee boundary, topographic, and construction surveys in accordance with Minnesota statutes and standards
  • Prepare, review, and certify survey documents, including plats, legal descriptions, and ALTA/NSPS surveys
  • Interpret and analyze survey data, title reports, construction plans, and legal documents
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of field data collection and survey deliverables
  • Sign and seal survey documents as required by state regulations
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, permitting, and inspection services
  • Communicate with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Ensure all survey work complies with applicable laws, codes, and company standards
  • Support project timelines, budgets, and deliverables

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to survey field crews and technicians
  • Review field notes, calculations, and survey data for quality assurance
  • Assist in resolving boundary discrepancies and field-related issues
  • Support business development efforts through client interaction and technical expertise
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, technologies, and regulatory changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements

Education / Experience / Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Work Environment
  • Combination of office and field work
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions including varying weather, terrain, and construction sites

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, and traverse uneven terrain
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate survey equipment and tools in field environments


Travel
