PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER

The City of Twin Falls is seeking a Professional Engineer to help plan, design, and manage public infrastructure projects throughout our community.

This position works on a variety of projects, including streets, water and sewer systems, irrigation, pipelines, airport infrastructure, subdivisions, stormwater systems, and other public improvements. You'll help move projects from concept through construction while working with City staff, consultants, contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and the public.

What You'll Do
  • Manage capital improvement and public works projects from design through construction
  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, bid documents, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies
  • Review subdivision, street, water, sewer, stormwater, and irrigation plans
  • Conduct field inspections and help resolve construction issues
  • Manage contracts, project budgets, change orders, and invoices
  • Provide technical recommendations to City departments and leadership
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Assist residents, developers, and contractors with engineering-related questions

Pay & Benefits
  • $88,316 - $105,976 annually ($42.46 - $50.95 hourly), depending on qualifications and experience

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Five (5) years of professional engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Professional Engineer license in Idaho, or an active PE license in another state with the ability to obtain Idaho licensure within the timeframe required by the City
  • Valid Driver's License

Work Environment

This position includes both office and field work. Field work may include construction sites, outdoor conditions, and inspections in varying weather conditions.
