Job Responsibilities:

Lead and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. Lead and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs. Lead and supports and Magna’s operating principles, including:

Magna Employee Charter – Operating under its principles by treating all team members equally, fairly and with dignity and respect.

Abide by Kamtek policies and procedures as described in the most current version of the Employee Handbook.

Open Door Policy – Solves issues with two-way, open and friendly communication.

Safety First - Obey the plant’s safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns.  Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard.

Promote MAFACT benchmarks to achieve World Class Manufacturing.

Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required.

Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.

C48 - Listens to issues and concerns and responds within 48 hours

Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey.

Provide technical robot expertise to division personnel to support existing and new customer programs

Develop best robot practices and build processes to implement them as standards across the division

Lead robot safety objective in the facility

Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum efficiencies while maintaining our high-quality standards

Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed

Maintain accurate documentation resulting in shared knowledge of issues and lessons learned

Troubleshoot and train others on identifying root causes of equipment failures.

Work closely with the controls group of the facility to ensure all backups are cataloged properly and accurately

Utilize good working knowledge of all technologies used in the development and build of automated assembly lines. Execute equipment efficiency studies, through time and motion studies, or standard data to ensure effective line balancing

Work to achieve company goals, objectives as communicated by divisional leadership

Complies with relevant quality and environmental programs (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 14001)

Conducts themselves in a professional manner

Keeps work area clean and organized

Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills

Perform other duties as required.

SKILL

  • Familiar with Advanced Product Quality Planning methods

  • Familiarity with Engineering and Quality practices and procedures including PPAP, blueprint reading, DG&T, use of measuring instruments, checking aids/fixtures, mechanical testing, etc.

  • Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

  • Computer skills in Microsoft office suite

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment, processes, etc.

  • Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment in order to meet customer requirements

  • Able to appreciate and maintain proper level of confidentiality, using discretion and tact

  • Must be able to understand written instructions

  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.

  • Understand and promote Magna’s philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee’s Charter).

  • Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).  Responsible to ensure employees are properly trained and adhering to such policies and enforcing disciplinary actions when safety infractions occur.

  • Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs and conduct Team Safety Talks as required.

  • Ensure weekly safety talks in pre-shift meetings are being conducted with employees signing safety training roster

  • Within 24 hours of an accident/incident complete accident investigations identifying root cause and corrective action

  • Schedule, supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of employees to ensure that production levels and quality standards are met.  Monitor throughout day and make adjustments to support

  • operations

  • Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects. Encourages open communications; confronts difficult situations; maintains objectivity; keeps emotions under control; uses negotiation skills to resolve conflicts; promotes the Open-Door process.

  • Act on behalf of the Department Manager in their absence and assume the responsibilities of Team Leader in their absence.

  • Achieve first time quality and efficiency to meet production requirements.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely monitoring and approval of employees’ schedules through E-time.

  • Immediately attend to all accidents and injuries and initiate the accident and injury investigation program, while following up to ensure procedure implementation and completion.

  • Support Kamtek goals to ensure consistent communication of the Magna/Kamtek vision. Fosters team cooperation; supports group problem solving; ensures progress toward goals; acknowledges team accomplishments.

  • Supervise Team Leaders in their job performance and ensure fulfillment of policies, practices and procedures.

  • Utilize interactive management principles when implementing corrective discipline procedures in dealing with employees, encourage professional development to enhance team performance, and cross train to maximize flexibility and coverage to accommodate vacations and absences.

  • Provide timely coaching, counseling, and feedback to employees through one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and regular team meetings.

  • Ensure department KPI’s key performance indicators are current and posted.

  • Responsible for working with Cross Functional Departments to ensure successful implementation of engineering changes.

  • Develop and facilitate on-the-job employee training -encourages training and development.

  • Promote continuous improvement programs, strive to maintain and improve productivity.

  • Perform other duties as required.

TECHNICAL TRAINING:  AutoCAD and CAD viewer programs, Experience/knowledge in robotic programming (Fanuc programming a Must), Fanuc DCS certification

OTHER: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
