Team Leader | Full-Time | ProductionWhat Does a Production Supervisor Do? Operational Leadership- Lead daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Ensure production plans are executed efficiently and in alignment with takt time and customer commitments.
- Make real-time operational decisions to maintain production flow and resolve issues.
- Coordinate activities across shifts and partner with support departments to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure accurate production reporting and data integrity within MES and ERP systems.
Safety & Quality- Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and address safety concerns proactively.
- Ensure adherence to standard work processes and quality requirements.
- Drive accountability for quality performance and support effective corrective actions when issues arise.
Team Leadership & Development- Lead, coach, and develop frontline employees and team leads to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development conversations.
- Support workforce planning, onboarding, training, and skills development.
- Create an inclusive and positive work environment that promotes engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
Continuous Improvement- Drive Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 5-Why, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and CAPA processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve processes, and optimize operational performance.
- Participate in production and operational review meetings and ensure timely execution of action plans.
What You Will Bring:Required- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production setting.
- Experience with production systems, ERP/MRP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S principles.
- Ability to analyze operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Preferred- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
