  • Promote and uphold a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records related to production output and employee performance.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures for all team members.
  • Utilize LEAN tools to measure and enhance operational performance.

What you will do

Are you a hands-on Production Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about safety and continuous improvement? This is a great opportunity to lead a dedicated team in our San Antonio, TX plant, driving daily production goals while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

You will be accountable for directing the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in the assembly / fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units within an assigned area while upholding a strong commitment to production goals, efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

How you will do it
  • Facilitate and direct team members' workflow within the assigned department, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning team members for absences, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit.
  • Control costs within budget levels by minimizing scrap and rework costs.
  • Anticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expedite repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineering to implement improvements in cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling, and labor planning.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup. Assist in accident investigation and corrective action.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow all safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate production and employee records.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures.
  • Apply LEAN tools to measure and enhance the department's Key Business Drivers (i.e., VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.).


What we look for

Required:
  • University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Availability to work 2nd shift (Mon-Sat: 3:30PM-2AM)
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite


Preferred:
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience utilizing Lean tools to measure and improve the department's Key Business Drivers (i.e., VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, etc.)


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $67,900.00 - 101,900.00 USD Annual (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
