Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Production Supervisor. This role supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Location: Faribault, MN Shift: Monday-Thursday 2nd shift + Overtime What you will do: • Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules • Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements • Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures • Coordinates work flow with the various departments involved • Reports damaged and defective equipment to management • Trains other employees in day to day procedures • Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output • Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties • Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. • Maintains time and production records • Assists with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times • Other duties as assigned What's in it for you: • The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth • The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • 5+ years of related experience • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in related field • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience Benefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: • Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance • 401K retirement plan with employer match • Paid time off and company paid holidays • Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law • Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 - $108,800 in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
