Schedule: 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday - Thursday; overtime on Fridays
Pay: $91,500.00 - $110,000.00/exempt

PositionSupervises daily activities of production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Identifies problems related to production process and provides production reports to assist process improvement.
Responsibilities- Supervise and lead production team members in their daily activities, including assignment of duties, training, coaching, counseling, and presenting disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Coordinate and communicate production activities with external customers and internal departments including logistics, engineering, and production management (to include management on other shifts).
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and safety guidelines to workers.
- Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and ultimately external customers.
- Lead regular communications with team pertaining to company and department performance, with the goals of improvement and reducing waste and non-value-added activity.
- Investigate problems and issues on the production floor, recommend and implement solutions, including 5S tools to reduce variation in the work environment. Develop and utilize visual aids to communicate process and procedures identified to address issues.
- Partner with quality and engineering teams to identify issues and develop and implement process and procedures to prevent recurrence.
- Daily scheduling and organization of work departments, including ownership of time and production records.
Qualifications- Strong technical knowledge related to the field of manufacturing.
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate employees to promote continuous improvement efforts resulting in improved safety, on-time delivery, quality and reduced waste.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Communicate in a clear, approachable, professional and proactive manner, providing strong leadership and management to assigned team.
- Capacity to effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to meet deadlines, perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to interpret and identify solutions with available information and resources.
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate instructions in varied formats including written, oral, diagram or schedules.
- Prior experience overseeing medium to large size production teams in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Experience and training in lean manufacturing and leading continuous improvement using Kaizen events preferred.
Education- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of above requirement.
Experience- Minimum of two years' supervision experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Computer Skills- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite to interoperate and create reports required.
- Prior experience with an ERP system preferred.
Working ConditionsWhile performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
- Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
- Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to contaminants.
- Shared workspaces with other employees.
- Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
