Production Shift Manager
Accelsius is looking for an experienced Production Shift Manger to lead 1st shift new product manufacturing and assembly output operations and associated shift direct labor personnel. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Mfg Operations and the right candidate will have strong thought leadership, execution and influencing skills alongside applicable experience.
Role Responsibilities:
• Hiring of shift employees to meet production ramp targets.
• Leading shift direct reports and support personnel in achieving daily production targets, goals, and/or manufacturing initiatives.
• Mentoring and oversight of training & certification of shift employees & direct reports.
• Establishing work instructions, task workflows, and work break-down processes to help achieve stable performance on all quality, on-time delivery, cycle time, and cost targets.
• Meeting all customer order quantity and delivery dates when/as committed.
• Driving shift-based projects and improvements in support of best-known methods of lean manufacturing and six sigma quality.
• Establishing shift and individual performance management measures and processes.
• Reporting and communicating shift progress on all key performance indicators.
• Elevating morale and employee participation through regular interaction, communication, and positive engagements with all employees.
Qualifications for this role include:
• Demonstrated strategic, tactical, and diverse thought leadership
• Ability to lead and manage through ambiguity and rapid changes
• Background in lean manufacturing principles, six sigma quality, production efficiency analysis, and operations excellence continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Manufacturing, assembly, or production systems startup experience a plus
• Must bring curiosity, a willingness to be hands-on, professionalism, a positive attitude and a focus on problem solving to the role
• Bachelor degree in business, management, engineering, sciences, or related field
• 4+ yrs of related experience leading direct labor or hourly employees preferred
