Job Title: Production Program Manager
Location: Houma, LA
Position Overview: The Production Program Managercoordinates and leads the build strategy efforts and activities for completing vessels, working under the general direction of the Program Management department.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the entire effort of activities on the vessel(s), including monitoring the status of all production budgets and schedules.
- Oversee the efforts of production and subcontract crafts.
- Manage material/receiving orders and develop compartment completion and delivery schedules.
- Act as the primary contact with the owner's representative on production aspects of the project.
Qualifications: - Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a shipbuilding or related manufacturing field setting, including production planning/scheduling or production supervisory experience.
Skills and Abilities:- Highly knowledgeable in ship production practices and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
- Capable of planning cost-effective work procedures compatible with quality requirements.
- Effective communication, instructional, and leadership skills for directing a production team.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving ability and capability of multi-tasking.
- Knowledgeable of USCG, regulatory, and customer requirements, as well as craft-specific processes and techniques.
