The impact you'll makeThe Factory Production Planning (FPP) role is the single accountable owner of Lam's integrated production plan, responsible for aligning demand, capacity, and constraints into one executable plan of record across the global manufacturing network. This role unifies the former Build Plan Management and Capacity Planning responsibilities into a single end-to-end planning authority, strengthening accountability, improving decision speed, and eliminating fragmented ownership.
Operating across the mid- to long-term planning horizon, FPP translates business priorities and demand signals into realistic, feasible production commitments by balancing build plans with available and planned capacity. The role identifies structural risks early, leads informed trade-off decisions, and ensures plans are credible, governed, and executable before they reach downstream execution teams.
FPP works in close partnership with Global Production Planning (GPP), Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics to ensure the production plan reflects enterprise priorities while respecting factory-level realities. Through disciplined planning processes, clear governance, and transparent communication, FPP enables Lam to plan and execute as one global system, not as a collection of site-based plans.
This role requires strong strategic judgment, analytical capability, and the ability to influence across functions and regions, balancing competing priorities while clearly communicating the implications of planning decisions to protect customer commitments and network efficiency.
What you'll doIn this role, you will directly influence Lam's ability to deliver predictably at scale in a highly constrained and dynamic manufacturing environment. By owning and governing the integrated production and capacity plan, you will:
- Enable predictable execution by providing a single, trusted plan of record that aligns demand, capacity, and constraints across the global network.
- Drive earlier, faster decision-making by identifying structural risks upstream and leading clear trade-off decisions before issues reach execution forums.
- Improve global capacity utilization and efficiency by planning capacity as a shared enterprise asset rather than reacting to site-level constraints.
- Protect customer delivery commitments by translating demand into feasible plans and mitigating risks before they impact lead time, SRD, or shipment performance.
- Strengthen planning governance and confidence by ensuring data integrity, transparent assumptions, and disciplined version-to-version plan management.
- Support Lam's growth by enabling a scalable operating model capable of sustaining accelerated demand without increasing churn, late escalations, or execution instability.
Who we're looking for- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field with 8 years of experience (or equivalent experience).
- Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable making and defending trade-off decisions under ambiguity.
- Strong influencer with the ability to align diverse stakeholders globally.
- Resilient and adaptable in environments with frequent change and competing priorities.
- High accountability, ownership mindset, and commitment to quality and execution excellence.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for building scalable, disciplined planning processes.
Preferred qualifications- Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain planning in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of S&OP, capacity planning, and production planning frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage plans in highly constrained, fast-changing environments.
- Experience with enterprise planning systems and data tools (e.g., SAP, CRM, Kinaxis, Power BI, Microsoft applications).
- APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
