Full Job Description
We9re hunting for aProduction Planner III on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Planning and analysis of one or several medium-sized programs, from design to delivery, through global analysis of requirements (material, equipment, facilities and work force) and constraints. Monitor the program schedules for on-time and efficient completion. Receives broad assignments with limited supervision.

Tasks:

  • Point of contact on schedule and material status for program management group.
  • Create demand / contract deliverables in ERP.
  • Create & maintain schedules based on progress of activities throughout entire program (Design, Procurement, AI&T).
  • Create Design Release Plan and follow-up on progress with program team.
  • Prepare and revise Production Readiness review, follow-up on its progress with program and manufacturing teams (material, equipment and documentation) and rationalize timing of launch into production
  • Monitor the progress against the plan at regular intervals and work with all departments in resolving planning and capacity problems.
  • Propose recovery plan to programs
  • Identify and record schedule risks, critical activities, program critical path and constraints within the plan and analyze the impact of modifying it.
  • Record and review key resources (material, equipment, facilities and manpower) required per activity in the schedule required to meet the plan.
  • Review and sign ECNs for items that are an assembly for medium-sized programs assigned
  • Investigate material flow problems, analyze root causes, and derive solutions
  • Generate and analyze program scenarios and reports (milestones, OTD, etc.)
  • Support the master scheduler for the improvement and implementation of planning and scheduling methods and systems.
  • Can provide functional guidance to less experienced personnel


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor9s Degree in business administration, operations management option (preferably) or in commercial sciences
  • PMI-PMP Certification is an asset
  • 7 years of relevant experience in a project management and/or production planning environment
  • A combination of other pertinent education/experience could be considered
  • Knowledge of French and English is essential (spoken and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite and one project management software, preferably Primavera
  • In-depth knowledge of product nomenclature notions, schedule planning, scheduling and project management concepts
  • Sense of urgency
