Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic results oriented Production Manager to join our Insulation Greer, SC team.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Ensure plant meets profitable production goals and quality standards while remaining within budget limitations
  • Act as interface between plant management and production staff
  • Lead continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies
  • Develop production schedules and make strategic decisions to adjust programs when time or budget constraints are encountered
  • Organize and cross-train worker teams to maximize production flexibility and operational efficiency
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess, analyze, and track manufacturing processes against established goals and objectives
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance; consult with Engineering and Maintenance on necessary modifications
  • Establish and enforce comprehensive safety guidelines and procedures, including conducting monthly safety meetings, overseeing safety training, investigating accidents, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Manage the full employment lifecycle for production personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions
  • Foster workforce accountability and continuous learning through goal-setting, employee empowerment, regular feedback, and one-on-one coaching
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in coordination with Human Resources and Plant Management
  • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce steps, time, and material waste

**Scope of Authority:**

Manages 20-30 employees in the Manufacturing Department with full supervisory responsibility for direction, coordination, and evaluation. Travel required 3-5 times per year.
