Full Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for production-related communication flow and coordination between all Company resources committed to each product.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the manufacturing and production activities of the Kisters product line in alignment with strategic objectives to ensure maximum effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Serves as the primary point of coordination between Engineering, Parts/Services, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution of machine builds, rebuilds, and conversion projects.
  • Interfaces with Engineering, Parts/Services and Sales/Marketing departments to coordinate the production process for new machines, machine rebuilds and machine conversion projects.
  • Responsible for production schedule, reviews Capacity Utilization for all in-house new machine builds, works to leverage capacity of both machine and fabrication shops.
  • Develops and maintains detailed production and project plans, ensuring all resources, materials, and project milestones are aligned to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Acts as the central link between all project stakeholders, bringing together critical information from multiple sources to drive informed decision-making and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Provides visibility into project status, production schedules, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring stakeholders have an accurate understanding of overall project health and progress.
  • Monitors component and material availability, proactively identifying risks and ensuring the timely availability of parts required to support production schedules.
  • Coordinates production sequencing and module readiness, determining when assemblies can begin and ensuring dependencies are identified and resolved.
  • Directs day-to-day production assembly operations for specific machine product lines and spare parts, plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees, works to minimize standard deviations of shop orders and machine build times.
  • Promotes teamwork among all groups to deliver machine projects built to customer specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Develops, tracks, analyzes, and communicates production and project KPIs to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives, streamlines operations to conserve resources, provide leadership, and creates and implements best practices for manufacturing excellence.
  • Oversee maintenance of manufacturing equipment and make recommendations for new purchases to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manages personnel and material resources to meet production targets.
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.
  • Determines and implements improvements to the production process.
  • Monitors and reviews the performance of staff and organizes necessary interventions for improvement.
  • Follows all ISO procedures.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and efficient production environment while ensuring the shop remains in 5S sustain mode.

Your Profile:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of leadership experience in a packaging machinery environment
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex manufacturing projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to analyze production data and develop KPIs that support operational performance and project execution.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, SAP preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on all modes of public transportation.
  • A valid driver's license and passport are required.
