Full Job Description
Corvid's manufacturing team, Goldbug, is looking to add an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day o manufacturing operations related to the production of military vehicle chassis and associated subassemblies. This role ensures production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved while maintaining compliance with military, defense, and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or defense/aerospace production environments. Understanding engineering and production challenges, specifically as it relates to complex weapons systems will be critical to success. Candidate will also need to demonstrate an ability to drive operational efficiency in a high-accountability setting.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead all production activities for military chassis manufacturing operations, including a diverse staff of welders, fabricators, and assembly personnel
  • Ensure production schedules are maintained while meeting quality standards and delivery objectives - mitigating and managing any deviations form plan
  • Ensure compliance with military specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality systems - reporting non-conformances in Material Review Boards, providing guidance on material disposition, and conducting root cause/corrective actions for quality or production issues
  • Actively engage with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to solve complex design and manufacturing problems

Requirements:
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet requirements to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • 5 years of production management experience in heavy manufacturing, defense, automotive, or metal fabrication environments (Degree can substitute for some experience)
  • Experience with welded structures, chassis fabrication, or armored vehicle production - specifically an understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, and powder coating
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office with a preference for candidates that have worked in ERP systems such as JobBOSS or 1Factory
  • Preferred candidate will have experience working manufacturing programs for DoW customers, ideally working high-mix, low-volume production environments
  • Position will require an ability to work in a physically demanding environment - loud, various welding and similar processes ongoing, and the need to walk through out a large production environment and stand for long periods of time
