Full Job Description
Goldbug, Corvid's manufacturing division, is adding to our quality team to support continued growth in our production of aerospace components and weapon systems. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring that all aerospace products and manufacturing processes adhere to strict quality standards and industry regulations. The position develop and execute processes for inspections, data analysis, identifying quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining appropriate documentation.

The Quality Engineer will be a significant facilitator of coordination on cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity and compliance with AS9100. The position needs to understand and demonstrate the importance of prioritizing safety and reliability in aerospace components.

Some key tasks and responsibilities of this position will include:
  • Develop and execute processes for inspections, testing and documentation that enforce quality standards and procedures throughout the manufacturing process
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence
  • Oversee supplier quality by conducting audits, reviewing supplier documentation, and working with suppliers to address quality issues
  • Develop AS9102 packages to ensure product can be delivered on time
  • Participate in early-stage design reviews, providing quality related inputs - collaborating across disciplines to drive quality focus at all stages of development
  • Collect, analyze quality data to identify trends, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement

Requirements:
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and may be required to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Discipline and at least 5 years of direct Quality Engineer experience (preferably in an Aerospace environment)
  • Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of inspection methods, testing techniques, and GD&T principles
  • Demonstrated experience using statistical analysis tools to perform data analysis in identifying and correcting quality issues
  • Candidate should have experience with some subset of the following specifications: AS9100 QMS; AS9102 First Article Requirements; AWS D1.1-3 and AWSD17.1 Welding specifications, ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing; ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices; ANSI Sampling Procedures & Tables (attributes and percent non-conforming); NAS410 Non-destructive Test Personnel
