Role description: The Production Manager is responsible for directing forming, mold repair, and machine repair departments to obtain optimum performances in safety, quality, and performance efficiencies at the lowest operating cost.
Responsibilities: - Ensure the manufacturing of glass containers are within customer specifications and quality standards
- Select and develop employees to adequately staff the forming department which includes salary administration, effective employee and union relations, developmental and training opportunities, and succession planning
- Manage departmental budgets including time, labor, and spending costs
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment always striving for zero accidents
- Monitor department performances and report on negative impacted areas while developing and implementing continuous improvement
- Comply with environmental and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies within the department
Minimum skills / qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Twelve (12) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process and management experience
- Prior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changes
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk work environment
- Ability to work outside of regular work hours
- Ability to prioritize work and have a sense of urgency
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Preferred skills / qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on the forming process and management experience
- Prior experience with the plant's forming process (i.e. press, blow-and-blow, etc.)
CompensationThe anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $106,600 and 160,000 per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Compensation:The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $110,900 and 166,300 per year upon hire. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
This role is eligible to participate in the annual Ardagh Incentive Bonus (AIB) plan. The bonus incentive program is based on total company performance.
