Production and Instrumentation Technician

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will operate, monitor, and optimize cryogenic air separation equipment to ensure safe, efficient production and maintain product quality
  • Analyze process data, adjust operating conditions, and perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual process checks and compliance inspections
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, one-line drawings, and process flow diagrams, and update documentation in accordance with SOPs, QA standards, and MOC requirements
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and perform minor repairs on instrumentation and control systems, including transmitters, analyzers, PLCs, meters, control valves, UPS units, and related components
  • Further, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, pumps, motors, fans, burner systems, and other mechanical and rotating equipment
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections, performance evaluations, and troubleshooting activities to maximize reliability and minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage electrical systems (

  • Promote a strong culture of safety through hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and compliance with established procedures
  • Support Fillzone operations, assist drivers as needed, and operate company vehicles for pipeline locates, field inspections, and material pickups

What makes you great

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Process Technology, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or a related technical field preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in industrial plant operations, production environments, and industrial maintenance; experience in air separation, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand tools, power tools, digital multimeters, basic electrical testing equipment, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
  • You have experience with instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting, including digital and pneumatic calibration tools such as Fluke calibrators and Hart communicators
  • Knowledge of 4-20mA loops, DC voltage/current, RTD, thermocouple systems, and control systems; experience with medium-voltage (>600V) electrical systems and advanced process automation troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience using CMMS systems for work order management, recordkeeping, contractor coordination, and maintenance activities
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • You have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
