Full Job Description
The Product Engineer supports the Critical Care team through technical investigations, product testing, and sustaining engineering activities. This role is responsible for leading root cause investigations, evaluating product and supplier changes, supporting externally driven changes, and generating technical evidence to support business and quality decisions. Working across Product Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D, the Product Engineer helps ensure products continue to meet customer, quality, and performance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

This position is part of the Product Engineering group reporting to the Director, Critical Care located in Duncan, SC and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:
  • Lead root cause investigations related to product performance issues, customer complaints, supplier changes, and design-related production non-conformances.
  • Plan and execute sample builds, engineering evaluations, and verification activities to support investigations, product development, sustaining engineering, and externally driven changes.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and communicate technical recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Drive quality system records through all phases of execution by coordinating stakeholders, building alignment on proposed actions, and ensuring timely implementation and closure of required deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reliability, and customer experience.


Who you are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Engineering experience through industry, internship, co-op, or academic projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D teams.


Travel Requirements:
  • Ability to travel - approximately 10% travel to other sites or customers.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Working in a highly regulated industry would be an advantage.
