ABOUT THE JOB

As the Product Sourcing Engineer, Semiconductor, you will serve as the domain expert for semiconductor commodities across Anduril's Intelligence Systems. In this high-impact, proactive role, you will secure the critical components, materials, and services that power our mission-critical hardware.

You will be responsible for developing new and existing supplier partnerships, integrating next-generation technologies, and optimizing cost, quality, and supply continuity across new and existing product lines.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • RFx & Sourcing: Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes for strategic semiconductor components from inception to award.
  • Cost Analysis & TCO: Perform detailed cost-breakdown analyses on quote submissions, using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling to drive data-backed sourcing decisions.
  • Tactical Escalation & Crisis Management: Lead and participate in daily or weekly operational escalation forums to aggressively triage supply disruptions, resolve critical component shortages, and extinguish production-line blockers as they arise.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Engineering teams early in the development cycle to influence design specifications based on supply chain intelligence, availability, and lifecycle health.
  • Manufacturing & CTB Support: Partner closely with PCBA Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to resolve component shortages and ensure Clear-to-Build (CTB) milestones are consistently met.
  • Strategy: Develop and execute long-term strategies for semiconductor components, focusing on cost reduction and supply chain resilience.
  • Contract Negotiations: Draft, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements covering pricing, lead times, capacity commitments, warranties, and payment terms.
  • Market Intelligence & Trend Forecasting: Monitor global semiconductor market dynamics, fab capacity constraints, lead-time trends, geopolitical impacts, and technological shifts to proactively identify supply risks and strategic cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supplier Performance: Own end-to-end supplier relationship management, tracking key metrics across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation. Serve as the primary escalation point for commodity-related issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or sourcing engineering with a focus on semiconductor components.
  • Proven ability to analyze cost structures and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
  • Eligible for U.S. Secret or TS clearance and ability to maintain clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to work on-site in Costa Mesa, CA (relocation required if not local).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability hardware industries.
  • Advanced expertise in TCO modeling and component lifecycle management.
  • Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Highly adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can proactively unblock operational bottlenecks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
