Daily sourcing activities including contract negotiation, market research and supplier relationship management (SRM).
Build relationships with suppliers to encourage innovation, and create structured agreements that optimize value and manage enterprise risk.
Engage with business units to align on supplier strategy, and build effective plans to add new value.
Drive the Negotiation Planning Process, including facilitating the Negotiation Planning kickoff meetings, coordinating updates on those negotiations at periodic intervals ensuring all stakeholders and leaders are up to date on Negotiation Status, Risks, Blockers, and Escalations required well ahead of renewals or new purchase decisions.
Drive contract negotiations and engage appropriate team members, including Legal, Business Leadership, Strategic Sourcing, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Workforce Management, Procure to Pay and Strategic Operations, to propel successful partnerships and operational efficiency.
Work with our Finance team to review, optimize, consolidate, and calibrate sourcing and procurement strategy to align with overall company objectives, and budgets
Develop and implement standard supplier agreements and relevant amendments, supplier management best practices, and sourcing practices in the professional services area.
Lead sourcing requests and events (complex and commodity), i.e. RFx’s, lead negotiations, facilitate contracting, and manage supplier relationships throughout sourcing requests or events. ($15M+ in annual total contract value)
Research and identify savings and supplier optimization opportunities within Zillow’s current and future services needs while considering risk, overall supplier mix and opportunities to invest in innovative supplier capabilities.
Collaborate with our Supplier Management team on Supplier Business Reviews, Scorecarding, Supplier Qualification, and Onboarding
Be a knowledgeable and reliable resource to provide information and guidance to our business stakeholders as a strategic sourcing advisor.
Align with and report to your business partners on long term goals and objectives using baselines and metrics by hosting monthly/quarterly internal procurement deal roadmap reviews.
Cultivate positive relationships at all levels across the business, from Senior or Executive Leadership to Individual Contributors to find strategic third party solutions.
Present across, and up through executive leadership on findings, strategies, solutions, successes, takeaways, metrics, and progress.
Apply data analysis and comprehensive anecdotal feedback to evaluate the impact of new models on suppliersSupplier, customers, and Zillow Group.
Excel in data-driven communications and recommendations, both internally and with suppliers
Educate stakeholders and suppliers on policy and guideline compliance.
5+ years of progressively responsible related experience in similar strategic sourcing/procurement role, with a strong understanding of technology, marketing, outsourcing services, complex consulting/advisory services, and/or related agreements.
Excellent negotiation skills, with a demonstrable track-record of high performance in sourcing activities.
Proficiency with sourcing and contract management software solutions.
Ability to flex to changing priorities, learn on the fly, and pick up ad-hoc sourcing work when needed.
Desire to dig deep to understand total cost of ownership (TCO), root causes, and systemic problems/opportunities
Resourceful and able to successfully balance multiple priorities and meet timelines
Must possess excellent process management mind-set; extensive experience developing and running sophisticated source selection processes (eg RFPs, RFQs, auctions)
Ability to influence partners through communications and presentations to advance initiatives to desired outcomes
Strong organizational, customer service and interaction skills, along with outstanding verbal and written communications; possesses the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying leadership levels
Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail

Preferred
Demonstrated experience leading indirect sourcing strategies for People/HR organizations, including Talent, Total Rewards, People Operations, Learning & Development, and DEI, with ownership of complex, high-impact spend portfolios.
Deep experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing enterprise-scale People/HR technology solutions, including HCM, ATS, LMS, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and adjacent People Tech ecosystems.
Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant to senior People/HR and People Technology leadership, advising on supplier strategy, market dynamics, operating models, cost optimization, and long-term workforce enablement.
Track record of partnering with executive-level People and Technology stakeholders to translate workforce and business strategy into scalable sourcing approaches, optimized supplier portfolios, and measurable business outcomes.
Experience driving complex, cross-functional People/HR sourcing initiatives that require strong change management, executive influence, and alignment across Finance, Legal, Technology, and Procurement.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Data Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
Preferred certifications include Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Sourcing Professional (CSP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), ITIL, APICS, and certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Preference for candidates with sourcing and negotiation experience in banking or regulatory environments, specifically the mortgage and title & escrow lines of business or in Developer Engineering Technology
Knowledge of Procurement tools like ZIP, Workday Strategic Management, etc and implementation/change management of these tools.
Strong Tableau, Excel, and AI proficiency with advanced data analytics and reporting experience is preferred.
