Full Job Description
Parallel is seeking a Product & Privacy Counsel to shape the legal and privacy foundation of a fast-growing AI infrastructure company. This role partners closely with Product and Engineering teams to provide practical legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on data collection, retention, consent, and privacy-by-design.

The Product & Privacy Counsel will own Parallel's privacy and data protection program, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI and state privacy laws. Responsibilities include developing policies, managing DPAs, overseeing data mapping, and building scalable templates and playbooks. The role requires technical fluency and the ability to negotiate data licensing and protection agreements confidently.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or product counseling (in-house or at a top firm), a J.D., and active U.S. bar membership (California preferred). A strong understanding of legal frameworks for AI products, comfort with technical concepts like data pipelines and anonymization, and a collaborative, low-ego approach are essential.

Parallel operates as a flat, in-person organization between its Palo Alto HQ and San Francisco office, united by a commitment to customer impact, craft, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving.
