Full Job Description
The Product Performance Engineer is within the Americas Quality Organization and reports to the Technical Engineering Division. In this role, the Product Performance Engineer 's mission is to improve the experience our customers have with our products and services. Candidates will successfully build and present business cases and work effectively globally and locally. The focus of this role is to analyze all available data sources, ident ify quality issues, and serve as the liaison between Sweden and the Volvo Car USA community until a resolution is reached.

What you'll do

Primary Responsibilities
• Identify emerging quality deviations before they become large issues.
• Evaluate and report potentially critical quality concerns and Incidents to the Volvo Cars Central teams.
• Define, quantify, and prioritize product deviations from the region based on all data sources
• Find, analyze, and leverage data to improve the quality situation in the Americas
• Perform deep warranty analysis to better understand the scope of identified issues
• Provide the markets with technical information on quality deviations using all channels
• Develop interim service solutions and repair instructions, when applicable

What you'll bring

Key Competencies/Abilities
• Retailer Technical Support team experience preferred
• Effectively gather, share, and communicate technical information with various audiences
• Experience using VIDA, DSA, DRO, PIE, CANalyzer, INCA, etc. preferred
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for various technical and
administrative tasks
• Strong data analysis skills with a solution-oriented mindset
• People-centric attitude with the willingness to work cross functionally on a regular basis
• Excellent communication capabilities
• A continuous improvement mindset
• Experience with process automation & improvement
• This position requires occasional domestic and international travel

You might also have
• One-two years' experience in automotive repair, plus two years' experience as an engineer
• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field
• Experience coding in any programming language

Salary Range
• $82,947 to $154,044
Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, location and company guidelines
