The Opportunity

Product marketing is where strategy meets execution and this role owns both.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Workforce Engagement Management at 8x8, you'll own the end-to-end go-to-market for the WEM category. From competitive positioning and pricing strategy to launch execution and lifecycle demand generation, you'll drive awareness, adoption, and revenue targets for this strategic segment. You'll be the voice of the market inside the product organization and the voice of the product in the market.

This is a strategic role with real business impact. You'll partner directly with Product, Sales, and Customer Success leaders, not just support them. You'll own the market narrative for WEM, influence product roadmap decisions through customer and competitive insights, and develop the go-to-market muscle that separates great PMMs from exceptional ones. If you want to drive strategy and execution at scale, with full ownership and cross-functional influence, this is where you make that happen.

What You'll Own
  • Define market requirements, market sizing, and differentiated positioning for WEM. Recognize WEM as a comprehensive suite that connects workforce planning, quality, and analytics for mature contact centers seeking integrated operational excellence. Ground your work in customer research, competitive intelligence, and sales/customer success feedback.

  • Build and own launch plans, value propositions, competitive narratives, and demo flows for feature releases and campaigns. Drive on-time, on-brand execution across teams.

  • Partner with Product to shape roadmap trade-offs and prioritization through market evidence and customer voice. Represent the customer in strategic product conversations.

  • Enable Sales and Customer Success with pitches, battle cards, objection-handling frameworks, and playbooks.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to co-develop and launch partner product integrations. Own the go-to-market narrative and enablement for co-marketed solutions.

  • Drive data-driven demand generation and campaign management. Develop, execute, and optimize campaigns and content that move prospects and customers through the buyer journey. Track performance against KPIs and continuously refine based on insights.

  • Develop pricing strategy, packaging recommendations, and financial modeling for the WEM segment. Validate assumptions through customer and sales feedback.

  • Mentor and guide associate-level PMMs on research methodology, positioning development, and launch execution. Model strategic thinking and flawless execution.

What You Bring
  • 3-6 years of B2B product marketing.

  • Demonstrated ownership of a feature, product, or segment launch with measurable business results (bookings, ARR growth, product adoption).

  • Comfort with both SLG (sales-led growth) and PLG (product-led growth) motions. You're willing to pick up the nuance on PLG and adapt your marketing thinking accordingly.

  • Experience in contact center, customer experience, or ERP environments is a plus. You understand the operational context where WEM lives.

  • Curiosity about workforce engagement, WEM buyer personas and use cases, operational workflows, and competitive positioning in the market. You read the industry, notice trends, and think strategically.

  • Competence in pricing strategy, value proposition design, storytelling, basic financial modeling, and BI dashboards. You can build a business case and track leading indicators.

  • Strategic research skills. Customer interviews, competitive analysis, market segmentation, TAM sizing. You can synthesize complexity into clear positioning.

  • Strong communication and influence across functions. You can present to executives, translate between Product and Sales, and build trust with cross-functional partners.

  • Project and program management skills. You own timelines, track dependencies, and drive execution to completion.

Who Thrives Here
  • You're outcome-oriented and metrics-driven. You set clear goals, track progress, and course-correct based on data, not gut feel. You own the business impact of your work.

  • You balance strategic insight with flawless execution. You can zoom out to think about market positioning and zoom in to catch a typo in a one-pager. Both matter equally.

  • You're influential across Product, Sales, and Growth. You build credibility through customer insights, strategic thinking, and follow-through. You lead by example and earn trust.

  • You're intellectually curious and intellectually honest. You challenge assumptions (including your own) and change your mind when the evidence says you should.

  • You take ownership end-to-end. You don't need constant check-ins or hand-holding. You flag risks early, solve problems independently, and escalate when needed.

  • You're a teacher and coach. You mentor peers and junior team members. You share knowledge openly and invest in building a stronger PMM function.
