Role DetailsSia Experience's Marketing Advisory team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to join a high-impact engagement with one of the world's leading technology organizations, working at the forefront of AI research and innovation.
We are looking for a product marketer at the core: someone with deep, end-to-end ownership of positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and launches who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to execute. This is a hands-on role for a PMM who can set the strategy, develop the narrative, and personally drive the work required to bring it to market.
Critically, we are looking for experience marketing AI itself as the product. This could include foundation models, large language models (LLMs), multimodal AI, model APIs, or similar AI technologies, rather than products where AI is simply an embedded feature or capability.
This is not traditional product marketing, and there is no established playbook. You'll work closely alongside teams developing some of the most advanced emerging AI technologies, helping determine how breakthrough research, model capabilities, and technical advancements should be positioned, differentiated, and introduced to the market.
The work is fast-moving, highly visible, and often ambiguous. You'll be expected to bring a strong point of view, create clarity where the path forward isn't obvious, and move fluidly from understanding complex technical developments to shaping the positioning, narrative, competitive strategy, launch, and execution around them.
We are particularly interested in PMMs who have helped build or define a category, where their launches and positioning influenced how the broader market perceived a company as an AI or technology leader.
What You'll DoYou'll be embedded within a leading technology client, working directly alongside research, product, engineering, marketing, communications, design, and cross-functional teams to shape and execute go-to-market strategy for frontier AI innovations.
- Own end-to-end product marketing for frontier AI products and innovations, from positioning and messaging through GTM strategy, launch planning, and hands-on execution.
- Develop differentiated positioning for AI models, LLMs, multimodal capabilities, model APIs, and other emerging AI technologies.
- Translate complex model capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with highly technical audiences, including developers, researchers, ML practitioners, engineers, and the broader AI ecosystem.
- Work directly with research and engineering teams to understand evolving model capabilities, technical tradeoffs, benchmarks, evaluations, and advancements.
- Use signals such as model capabilities, benchmarks, evaluations, competitive performance, and emerging research to identify meaningful technical differentiation and define competitive positioning.
- Shape launch strategies that go beyond individual product releases, helping establish broader market perception, category leadership, and the organization's position within the AI ecosystem.
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of the AI and model landscape, including emerging research directions, model releases, competitive developments, developer adoption, and broader industry dynamics.
- Own complex GTM workstreams from strategy through execution, bringing structure and momentum to high-profile initiatives where the path forward may still be taking shape.
- Bring an independent point of view, evaluating technical and market signals, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities, and recommending how emerging technologies should show up in the market.
- Lead across functions without relying on formal authority, aligning stakeholders across research, product, engineering, design, communications, creative, and marketing.
- Operate effectively at speed, balancing strategic thinking with a willingness to personally execute as priorities and market conditions evolve.
Qualifications- 10+ years of experience with a significant portion of that career spent in Product Marketing, including direct ownership of positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and product launches.
- Demonstrated experience owning end-to-end PMM strategy and execution, rather than serving solely in an adjacent product strategy, program management, communications, or general marketing capacity.
- Direct experience marketing AI as the product, ideally including foundation models, LLMs, multimodal AI, model APIs, AI platforms, or closely related model-level technologies.
- Experience bringing highly technical or emerging AI products to market and translating complex capabilities into differentiated market positioning.
- Demonstrated category-building or AI leadership experience, with launches, narratives, or positioning that helped shape broader market perception of a company, platform, or technology.
- Deep experience marketing to technical audiences, particularly developers, researchers, ML practitioners, engineers, and members of the broader AI ecosystem.
- Ability to interpret and use model capabilities, benchmarks, evaluations, competitive signals, and technical advancements to define differentiation and competitive positioning.
- Experience partnering closely with research, engineering, product, or other deeply technical teams and the ability to build credibility with technical experts.
- A track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional GTM initiatives from early strategy through launch and execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn highly technical concepts into clear, credible, and differentiated narratives.
- Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on executor in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
You'll Thrive Here If You...- You are a product marketer first. Positioning, messaging, GTM strategy, and launches are your craft, and you enjoy owning them from initial strategy through execution.
- You are deeply interested in AI technology itself. You want to understand why one model or capability is technically different from another, what benchmarks and evaluations signal, and how those differences should translate into positioning.
- You know how to market to audiences that are highly informed and technically sophisticated. You can build narratives that stand up to scrutiny from developers, researchers, and ML practitioners rather than relying on broad consumer marketing language.
- You've operated in moments where the category itself was still being defined. You understand how the right positioning and launch can influence not only adoption of a product, but how the market perceives a company's broader leadership in AI.
- You can move easily between strategy and execution. You're equally comfortable debating positioning with stakeholders, digging into model capabilities with researchers, analyzing competitive benchmarks, writing messaging, and driving the details required to successfully launch.
