What You'll Be Doing

CIBC Asset Management is among the largest investment managers in Canada with over $200 billion in assets under management. CIBC Asset Management offers and supports a variety of investment products to meet the needs of investors in the Institutional, Mass, Mid and High Net Worth market segments.

As the Product Marketing Manager , you will play a key role in the daily marketing efforts for CIBC Asset Management's investment products. Your primary responsibilities will include developing product messaging, creating marketing plans, and producing sales support content. You will collaborate closely with various business partners across the organization, including teams in Digital, Marketing & Communications, Product Development, and Distribution.

In this position, you will design and develop sales tools and communication materials that effectively promote our investment solutions, catering to both Advisors and investors. A comprehensive understanding of the asset management industry, including investment products such as mutual funds and ETFs, as well as various asset classes, is essential for crafting effective messaging and positioning.

How You'll Succeed

  • Product marketing - Support the creation, development, and execution of product marketing projects, including fund launches, thematic and opportunistic campaigns, and product management activities.
  • Project and program management - Cultivate a comprehensive and ongoing understanding of CIBC Asset Management's product lineup, and distribution channels. Oversee and maintain the product marketing collateral library, ensuring annual updates and governance approvals are met.
  • Partnership and Collaboration- Collaborate with cross-functional digital teams to ensure effective publication of marketing content. You will develop engaging social media content that promotes CIBC Asset Management products and services.


Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 3+ years of Financial Services investment experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of mutual funds, ETFs and the asset management industry. Knowledge of National Instrument 81-102 for marketing and sales communications is an asset. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is preferred.
  • You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your attention to detail and project management keeps content accurate, on brand, and on time. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are crucial in this role. You should be adept at learning and translating the technical features of investment strategies into clear benefits for our clients.
  • You work effectively with a variety of tools. You have a high proficiency in MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). Experience with marketing automation software and Seismic an asset.
