This role will shape the comprehensive go-to-market plan by providing the north star on positioning, messaging, narrative, and compelling supporting content.

The successful candidate is equally comfortable setting direction and producing the work. You will develop positioning, campaigns, presentations, demos, web content, user guides, emails, and short-form video content that make sophisticated enterprise technology easy to understand and valuable to use.

What You Will Do:

  • Turn technology into stories: Partner with product managers and engineers to convert roadmaps, release notes, workflows, and technical features into executive-ready stories, visuals, demonstrations, and end-user communications.
  • Create high-impact content: Write and design polished marketing assets across web pages, one-pagers, presentations, email campaigns, blogs, user guides, and product launch materials.
  • Develop demos and video content: Create demo narratives and scripts, and record and edit short product videos that explain capabilities and use cases simply and persuasively.
  • Drive dealer insight and adoption: Gather feedback from dealers and engagement teams, identify customer challenges, and use insights to improve messaging, campaigns, onboarding, and ongoing engagement.
  • Measure and optimize performance: Define and monitor meaningful KPIs, including engagement, conversion, and adoption measures. Use analytics, testing, and AI-enabled tools to improve marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery: Coordinate with product, sales, engineering, UI/UX, communications, and agency partners. Manage multiple initiatives with autonomy, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
  • Protect brand quality: Ensure communications are clear, visually compelling, audience-appropriate, and consistent with Caterpillar brand standards.

What You Will Have:

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Creativity: Knowledge of the approaches, tools, and techniques for promoting creative, original thinking and ability to apply it to a variety of business situations.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).
Promotion and Marketing Communications: Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques; ability to use different marketing channels and tools in combination to focus on how a business communicates a message to the market.

Considerations For Top Candidates:
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B product marketing, marketing communications, or go-to-market strategy for technology-based products.
  • Proven ability to develop product narratives, positioning, messaging, launch plans, and adoption campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for executive and end-user audiences.
  • Strong visual design and content-production skills, including the ability to independently create professional presentations and one-page marketing materials.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft 365, plus experience with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience using marketing analytics, A/B testing, or funnel performance data to guide decisions and improve results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously in an evolving environment, and influence outcomes across functions without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with dealer networks, channel partners, or complex B2B customer ecosystems.
  • Exposure to the heavy equipment, industrial, automotive, or adjacent sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted content creation, marketing automation, and modern marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience managing creative agencies, vendors, or external production partners.
  • Experience scripting, recording, and editing product demos or short-form video content.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Dealers and internal teams understand the platform's value, key capabilities, and recommended actions.
  • Launches and ongoing campaigns are coordinated, audience-focused, and supported by high-quality content.
  • Marketing insights and performance data are translated into measurable improvements in engagement and adoption.
