Job Summary:

ETS TRAINING SUPERVISOR

As the ETS TRAINING SUPERVISOR, you will lead global dealer- and customer-focused training strategy, delivery governance, and capability growth. This role is accountable for scaling high-quality operator training, strengthening dealer networks through certification and enablement, and accelerating customer adoption of Caterpillar training resources, technologies, and learning experiences.

What You will Do:

The incumbent will provide global leadership across dealer, customer, and internal training ecosystems with a strong focus on strategic growth, consistent execution, and high-quality learning outcomes. This role will manage a worldwide team responsible for operator training coordination, dealer engagement, operator training certification execution, business development, and operational excellence. In partnership with the Demonstration & Learning Centers (DLCs), dealers, and cross-functional teams, this position ensures Caterpillar's operator training delivery meets enterprise standards, drives meaningful customer impact, and enables scalable network capability.

Strategic Leadership & Business Development
  • Lead a global team of six training coordinators/instructors focused on enhanced dealer enablement (training & certifications) and expanding customer training coordination and execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities across regions and dealer networks; develop regionalized plans to support expansion and training penetration.
  • Build strong partnerships with dealers, internal business partners, and external customers to grow training demand and develop new channels for value delivery.


Team Management & Capability Development
  • Recruit, develop, train, and performance-manage a team responsible for training coordination, dealer engagement, DI/CDI mentorship, and training-related business development.
  • Foster collaboration across DLCs, dealer organizations, and cross-functional partners to ensure consistent execution and aligned customer experience.


Dealer Capability Growth & Network Enablement
  • Oversee strategy and execution for dealer certification programs and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Ensure dealers have the tools, support, and structure required to independently deliver high-quality operator training.


Training Governance, Standards & Quality Assurance
  • Own governance for training delivery across regions and DLCs, ensuring alignment with Caterpillar standards and brand expectations.
  • Establish, maintain, and audit quality standards for training execution, certification processes, and instructor development.


Curriculum & Content Leadership
  • Partner with curriculum and content development teams to ensure training materials meet dealer and customer needs.
  • Provide field-driven insights, market trends, and customer requirements to inform future content development and continuous improvement.

Training Operations: Knowledge of training processes and procedures; ability to implement training related tasks and programs to ensure smooth daily and strategic training operations.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR TOP CANDIDATES
  • 10+ years relevant industry experience (training, product support, operating, testing), preferably in construction, quarry, or mining
  • Experience with Caterpillar products and customer applications across industries
  • Experience with Cat technology products
  • Deep knowledge of the Cat dealer network and training programs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage travel logistics and expense reporting
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools and billing systems
  • Experience working in or with a DLC

  • Heavy equipment operating experience
  • Previous leadership experience a plus
  • Previous experience with Caterpillar operator training programs a plus


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Up to 35% travel, with required ability to travel internationally.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
