Position Description:Varmoda is seeking a highly motivated
Product Manager to support NYC's Public Engagement Unit (PEU), which proactively reaches vulnerable, low-income residents to help them access eligible services through outreach and grassroots organizing techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience owning feature roadmaps for Salesforce, iOS, and Android applications, along with Agile project management and Salesforce/mobile product management expertise. This role will facilitate user research and testing, integrate user feedback into feature development, and define and track key product metrics to optimize product strategy and ensure KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the feature roadmap for new Salesforce, iOS and Android applications
- Work closely with Salesforce and mobile developers to create roadmap to transition existing codebase to the in-house team
- Facilitate user research and testing, including scoping custom development needs of new users
- Engage with users regularly, ensuring integration of user feedback into future feature development
- Utilize agile development frameworks to manage development team's work processes
- Ensure users receive non-technical documentation and trainings on new features
- Define, track and improve key product metrics, optimizing product strategy to ensure KPIs are met
Required QualificationsA minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
- Project managing large-scale projects in fast-paced environments
- Defining project expectations and timelines for deliverables
- Excellent listening skills and ability to translate user needs into development stories
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Agile project management frameworks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to prioritize a roadmap as well as validate completed projects
- Experience in government, or in community, issue, labor or political organizing
- Experience product managing Salesforce, iOS or Android application
