Product Manager, Proofpoint Threat Protection GroupWe are seeking a driven and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and execution of our Threat Protection products. This role will focus on defining product strategy, delivering customer-centric solutions, and collaborating cross-functionally to address evolving security threats. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cybersecurity domains and a track record of shipping successful products.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute product strategy, roadmap, and vision for cybersecurity solutions
- Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements through research, feedback, and data analysis
- Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality products
- Translate complex cybersecurity needs into clear product requirements and user stories
- Drive product lifecycle from ideation through launch and continuous improvement
- Monitor industry trends, threat landscape, and competitive offerings to inform product direction
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to validate solutions and ensure product-market fit
- Define and track key product metrics (adoption, retention, performance, security outcomes)
- Support go-to-market strategies, including positioning, pricing, and messaging
Required Qualifications- 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in cybersecurity or related domains
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threat detection, SOC operations, identity & access management, cloud security)
- Proven ability to deliver products in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Experience working with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Email security products or enterprise security platforms
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science, or security certifications like CISSP, CEH)

Base Pay Range: 123,200.00 - 193,600.00 USD
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:
Base Pay Range: 102,300.00 - 160,820.00 USD
All other cities and states excluding those listed above:
Base Pay Range: 92,100.00 - 144,705.00 USD
