Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Product Manager for Portfolio Management, you will own the strategy and delivery of Neovest's accounting, IBOR, and General Ledger capabilities — products that sit at the core of how our clients operate. Day to day, you will translate the nuanced requirements of fund managers and back-office teams into a clear, executable product roadmap, working hand-in-hand with engineering, implementation, and client-facing colleagues to bring high-quality features to market. You will engage directly with clients and prospects, building the deep domain credibility that makes great financial software possible. If you have a command of investment accounting and a drive to build products that institutional clients rely on daily, this role offers the scope, the team, and the platform to do your best work.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for accounting, IBOR, and General Ledger capabilities, translating business priorities into a clear, sequenced delivery plan
  • Engage directly with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders to surface requirements, validate product decisions, and build lasting domain credibility
  • Document complex accounting workflows and client requirements with precision, ensuring engineering and implementation teams have the clarity needed to execute
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, implementation, and client-facing teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features on schedule
  • Define and track product success metrics, providing regular reporting and insight to senior stakeholders on adoption, impact, and roadmap progress
  • Monitor industry trends across investment accounting, IBOR, and portfolio management technology to inform ongoing innovation and competitive positioning
  • Maintain strong controls and ensure product decisions align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data integrity standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of product management experience in fintech or investment management, with meaningful time spent in financial software — accounting systems, IBOR, OMS/PMS, or adjacent
  • Deep understanding of investment accounting concepts, including cost basis methods, corporate actions, multi-currency processing, accruals, and GL posting logic
  • Demonstrated experience working with, building, or using accounting systems with a General Ledger in a production financial environment
  • Solid command of core accounting and finance constructs: P&L, cash management, GAAP accounting, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Income Statements
  • Proven ability to translate complex accounting workflows and client requirements into clear, actionable product specifications
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with a track record of delivering alongside engineering, implementation, and client-facing teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both technical teams and sophisticated buy-side clients

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Direct experience working with fund managers, fund administrators, or similar buy-side and back-office clients; hedge fund experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with order management or portfolio management system architecture and how accounting integrates within the broader investment operations stack
  • Ability to create a compelling product vision and actionable innovation roadmap in a fast-moving, client-driven environment
  • Experience operating within a large financial institution or enterprise software company, navigating governance, controls, and cross-functional dependencies
