Job Description:
The Opportunity
Perpetua is the challenger brand retail media platform within the Flywheel Commerce Network, built for the operator who cannot out-spend the category leader and has to out-execute instead. Advertisers set goals based on strategy and Perpetua's always-on optimization executes the tactics across Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, and the broader retail media landscape.
We are looking for a Product Manager to own a core area of that platform end to end. Reporting to the VP of Product and Engineering, you will be accountable for the problems your area solves, the roadmap that gets there, and the outcomes it produces. You will work shoulder to shoulder with design, engineering, and go-to-market, and you will spend real time with the challenger brands and agencies who run their business on Perpetua. This is a role for someone who wants to define what gets built and why, not just manage a backlog.
Retail media is the fastest-growing corner of digital advertising, and the ground is shifting fast. Amazon and the other large retailers now ship their own AI agents that plan, build, and optimize campaigns natively inside their consoles. That raises the bar for what an independent platform has to do to stay essential, and it is exactly where Perpetua wins. Those tools live inside one retailer's walls; Perpetua works across all of them, and it is built on proprietary data and optimization that a single retailer cannot replicate.
The product problem is genuinely hard and worth solving. You are making the complexity of cross-channel retail media feel simple, and you are giving people a clear, confident way to direct a system that is doing a great deal of the work on their behalf. Part of that system is the machine-learning optimization that already executes campaign decisions autonomously. A newer part is the generative and agentic layer that plans, synthesizes, and explains in natural language, and increasingly connects to customers' own agents through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Deciding where each of these creates real leverage, and where it does not, is central to this job.
What You'll Do:
Own a core area of the Perpetua product end to end, from discovery through delivery, across Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, and emerging retail media networks.
Turn customer insight, competitive analysis, and marketplace signals into a clear problem definition and a prioritized roadmap tied to business outcomes.
Partner closely with design and engineering to move from broad conceptual ideas to shipped, well-scoped product, making the tradeoffs on sequencing, dependencies, and scope along the way.
Own the AI-driven surface of your area with a clear point of view on where machine-learning optimization, generative synthesis, and agentic workflows each earn their place, and where a simpler approach serves the user better.
Contribute to Perpetua's MCP strategy, both exposing platform capabilities so that AI agents (ours and our customers') can plan and transact against Perpetua directly, and consuming external MCP servers, including the retailers' own.
Design the experience of working alongside an increasingly autonomous system: the patterns for trust, transparency, and control that let a user set a goal, understand what the platform is doing on their behalf, and step in when they want to.
Define what success looks like, instrument it, and hold yourself to it, using KPIs and evidence to decide what to build next and what to stop.
Work with sales, customer success, managed services, and marketing to launch well, position clearly, and drive adoption, not just release features.
Stay close to customers through regular conversations with challenger brands and the agencies who serve them, and bring that voice back into every decision.
Communicate concepts, priorities, and tradeoffs to cross-functional teammates and executive stakeholders with clarity and without spin.
Who You Are:
3+ years in product management on a software product team, with a track record of shipping complex, high-quality B2B SaaS.
Background in retail media, digital advertising, ecommerce, or a comparable data-and-API-intensive SaaS domain is a strong asset.
Comfortable with data: you can define the right metrics, read the numbers honestly, and make evidence-based calls rather than reaching for consensus.
Opinionated about AI. You have a real point of view on where LLMs and agentic workflows create leverage and where they do not, and you are interested in designing for agentic experiences and protocols like MCP.
Technically fluent enough to partner credibly with senior engineers. You do not need to write the code, but you understand systems, data, and APIs well enough to make good tradeoffs and earn trust.
Customer-obsessed and user-centric, with a demonstrated ability to translate customer insight into product strategy.
A strong communicator and cross-functional operator who can influence stakeholders at every level.
Comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended problems, and able to bring structure and momentum to them.
Demonstrated strategic product thinking and vision, paired with a bias to action and a strong sense of ownership.
