Job Title
Product Manager II, Technical

About the Role
You will lead product management efforts for payment solutions supporting public sector programs, including food and benefits platforms. In this client-facing role, you collaborate with government stakeholders and internal technical teams to translate requirements into scalable product solutions. You will own the product lifecycle from onboarding through enhancements, contract lifecycle support, and long-term growth strategy. Success is measured by client satisfaction, product performance, and the ability to drive innovation while balancing operational and financial considerations.

What You Will Be Doing
• Partner with state government clients to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into product deliverables
• Develop and maintain product documentation aligned to client needs, regulatory expectations, and system capabilities
• Lead onboarding of new clients, including planning, coordination, and successful product implementation
• Drive fraud prevention enhancements, including solutions such as out-of-state transaction controls
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver system enhancements that support state-to-state program requirements
• Build deep product knowledge to confidently represent system capabilities and constraints to clients
• Evaluate and communicate feasibility of fixes, improvements, and new features without requiring technical escalation
• Work with development, engineering, and project management teams to resolve complex product issues
• Develop cost estimates for implementations, including resource planning, margins, and operational considerations
• Support contract lifecycle activities, including renewal readiness, competitive bidding inputs, and long-term product strategy

Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in product management within payments, financial services, or regulated industries
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with external stakeholders
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into clear business and technical documentation
• Experience with product implementation, onboarding, and lifecycle management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach
• Practical experience in cost estimation, including coordination across technical and operational teams
• Foundational understanding of payment systems or financial services landscape
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with government programs or public sector clients
• Knowledge of fraud prevention practices within payment systems
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, including renewals and bidding processes
• Experience collaborating closely with software development and engineering teams
• Strong financial acumen related to product cost structures and margin considerations
