The Opportunity with McKinstry

The Business Technology team is seeking a Product Manager to serve as a dedicated partner to the Energy & Technical Services lines of business. In this role, you'll own the backlog across a broad portfolio of products and platforms end-to-end - managing ServiceNow ticket queues, coordinating responses, and driving integrations across interconnected systems - while building trusted relationships with business leaders and operational stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable running Agile ceremonies, navigating mid-sized project management, and keeping cross-functional priorities aligned across both technology and business teams.

Prior experience in - or working alongside - businesses that deliver energy services, building performance, facilities management, or technical construction and engineering is a plus, as familiarity with the operational complexity of those environments translates directly into this role.

This is a high-visibility position for someone ready to take on meaningful product ownership and help the organization deliver more value from the platforms it already has.

Location: this position is based in Seattle, WA and works a hybrid work schedule.

  • Develop and maintain business cases.

Product Lifecycle & Delivery
  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including modifications, upgrades, maintenance, and end-of-life.
  • Produce well-written documentation, including Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, and training materials.
  • Create product deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Facilitate product design and user focus sessions.
  • Lead coordination and documentation of project activities, including product introduction meetings, design reviews, and UAT.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure successful adoption by users and LOB/CSU teams.
  • Work with technology partners to deliver projects, including user stories, functional specifications, and testing.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with LOB/CSUs, technology, and enterprise teams to enable cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage and follow up on client requests.
  • Contribute to innovation by gathering and maintaining internal and external client insights.

  • Serve as a steward of McKinstry technology solutions.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality, and timely results in product administrative support.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies preferred.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
