Overview

Based in Redmond, Washington, the Product Engagement team in Microsoft Digital (MSD) brings together Product Managers who shape and scale the products, platforms, and IT services that Microsoft employees, and administrators rely on every day. In this role, you will work across product engineering, service engineering, and business teams to turn Microsoft's internal needs into secure, reliable, AI-first experiences. You will define success through measurable customer value, adoption, productivity, and satisfaction, alongside service health, security, operating efficiency, and cost. You will combine customer insight, product analytics, and operational data to establish priorities, influence product roadmaps, and represent MSD's Customer Zero perspective with Microsoft product engineering teams. We are looking for someone who can operate across product and service boundaries, create clarity in complex environments, build alignment with senior stakeholders, and drive outcomes from strategy through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in Product Engagement between MSD (IT) and our Product Engineering teams to deliver world class solutions to Microsoft users.
  • Work closely with engineering and service engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable capabilities and to keep them healthy in production.
  • Maintain the roadmap to bring new and existing solutions that are being developed at Microsoft and being deployed to our users.
  • Contribute to AI-first solution innovation by identifying where AI and agentic experiences can transform the way employees, developers and IT admins accomplish work.
  • Understand user insights through research, feedback, usage data, and direct engagement, and turn them into a clear, prioritized set of opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into meaningful product capabilities, requirements, and a well-sequenced roadmap.
  • Partner across many different product teams to align on shared experiences, dependencies, and a consistent end-to-end journey for users.
  • Communicate direction, progress, and results clearly to partners, and build alignment across a broad set of stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ Years working in Enterprise IT, Administration or Service Management to deliver IT services to end users.
  • 2+ years experience gathering customer insights and translating them into product vision, requirements, and roadmaps
  • Ability to partner across product, engineering, design, service engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience driving AI-powered assistance, automation, or similar product experiences is preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer research, product analytics, prioritization frameworks, and outcome-based road mapping is preferred.


Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100 - $202,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
