Full Job Description
With very limited supervision, drives development and execution of product/portfolio strategies and plans, taking into account product life cycle stage and the customer experience. Leads development and implementation of marketing, sales and all other activities, as needed, to achieve the necessary business outcomes. Independently leads needed market, economic and competitive evaluations that affect product performance. Independently performs fact based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights. Leads completion of needed advanced data models and analytics. Independently identifies and prioritizes new features, including market analysis, business case development and driving prioritization. Leads and executes large, complex newproduct development initiatives and other marketing/enterprise programs across large, cross-functional work teams. Actively coaches and mentors others in less senior positions. Perform other duties as assigned. Master's degree or equivalent in product marketing, economics, business, or related field plus 5 years of work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research OR 3 or 4 year Bachelor's degree in product marketing, economics, business, or related field plus 7 years of work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research. The employer will alternatively accept a Ph.D. in product marketing, economics, business, or related field plus 2 years of work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research experience in lieu of a Master's degree plus 5 years of experience

Requirements:

The position requires experience with: Product management skills to develop and execute product plans and strategic plans to help grow transportation products; Use of Customer Driven Design to identify customer and market needs and develop new transportation products and services to close portfolio gaps; Project management principals to manage large-scale cross functional initiatives to grow revenue and/or reduce costs within a transportation product portfolio; Ability to analyze internal and external data to perform parcel market analysis; Leverage pricing and promotion activities to grow existing transportation products; Strategic thinking to identify and profile target segments to grow domestic/international shipping; Statistical forecasting and modeling to perform market sizing and demand projection in the international parcel market segment; Knowledge of competitive, market, and economic factors to conduct competitive analysis in the international parcel market segment focusing on transit, service, and features of service. Superior knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis. Expert communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring and solving skills. Superior executive presence, human relations, networking and influencing skills. Strong project management and project management leadership experience. This position is eligible for telecommuting and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories.
