Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Product Line Manager - Modular Datacenter. This role can be located out of Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $190,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Product Line Manager to develop and execute strategy for modular whitespace solutions within the Distributed IT (D-IT) organization, part of the Electrical Sector - Americas business. This position will be based in Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC and would be reporting to the Product Line Manager - Whitespace Applications within the D-IT business unit. This individual will be responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, and lifecycle management of the product line by developing and executing business plans, driving product innovation, managing commercial relationships and aligning cross-functional teams to meet market demands and achieve financial objectives.

What you'll do:
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for the product line, including product development projects and marketing programs, to achieve growth in orders and sales and maintain profitability of the product line.
• Oversee the development and implementation of strategic short-term and long-term objectives and business plans for the product line. This includes datacenter segment alignment, achieving sales, market share, pricing, profitability, and maintaining product quality standards.
• Direct and oversee the development and introduction of new products into the market.
• Develop and own product roadmaps and the execution of the product lifecycle.
• Regularly participate in and reports out product line financials, including forecasting and performance to plan.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Segments, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Participate in industry events promoting the strategic vision, collaborating with alliance partners and end customers to provide solutions to growing industry problems.
• Accountable for product line P&L; responsibility for volume, price, margin, and profit.
• Build and lead a high-performing team that fosters collaboration, accountability, and innovation to execute the organization's strategic vision and ensure alignment with the data center segment's goals and priorities

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the electrical industry or datacenter segment
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or a closely related field
    Successfully has driven product line growth greater than 20% year over year and delivered measurable business results
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.

Preffered Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex modular data center projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to industry standard
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong teams through development, training, and talent acquisition.


Skills:
• Proficiency in enterprise tools, including SAP, Enovia, Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and CRM platforms such as Salesforce
• Strong knowledge of product development methodologies, including stage-gate or similar processes
• Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with a solid understanding of marketing strategies
• Comprehensive understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution systems and thermal management solutions
• Skilled communicator and relationship-builder, capable of effectively working in cross-functional and matrixed organizations to deliver measurable results.
• Proven ability to initiate new product development and improvement while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong executive presence.
• Work will require meeting with customers, suppliers, partners in the field.
• Ability to travel up to 35%
