Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION

Build the data foundation that powers one of the largest consumer banking businesses in financial services. You will shape how trusted data is stored, processed, published, and experienced—so teams can move faster, reduce risk, and deliver better outcomes for customers.

As an Executive Director, Data Platforms, Publishing & Experience Products at JPMorganChase within Consumer & Community Banking Data & Analytics Product, you will lead the strategy and delivery of the core data platform, publishing supply chain, and internal experience products that enable trusted, business-ready data at scale. You will translate complex platform capabilities into clear business outcomes, partnering closely with product, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders. You will operate as a senior leader who sets direction, drives adoption, and builds a culture of accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year product strategy for unified data platforms spanning cloud warehouses, data lakes, streaming, and operational data stores
  • Drive consolidation of fragmented data pipelines and environments to reduce redundancy and accelerate time-to-insight for downstream teams
  • Lead scalable ingestion, processing, and curation capabilities that convert raw data into trusted, business-ready data products with clear contracts and version control
  • Establish standards and tooling for data quality, metadata, lineage, and discoverability so published datasets are trusted and audit-ready
  • Enable governed self-service data publishing for data-producing teams, balancing autonomy with risk, compliance, and access controls
  • Own reliability, service levels, and operational health for critical platform services, including cost transparency and optimization outcomes
  • Build experience products (for data owners, publishers, engineers, and product managers) that reduce friction, accelerate onboarding, and improve adoption of standards
  • Define and monitor adoption, engagement, and outcome metrics; iterate roadmaps based on user feedback and measured impact
  • Partner with senior business, product, technology, risk, and compliance leaders to align platform investments to strategic priorities and regulatory expectations
  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing organization of senior product leaders across platforms, publishing, and experience products

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 15+ years of experience in data platforms, data engineering, or technology product leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling data platforms in a highly regulated enterprise environment
  • Deep technical fluency across the modern data stack, including cloud data warehouses, streaming infrastructure, orchestration and transformation tooling, and data governance capabilities
  • Proven ability to define and deliver multi-year platform strategy, including modernization and consolidation across large, complex data ecosystems
  • Experience owning product roadmaps for internal platforms, including user discovery, prioritization, delivery, and adoption measurement
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align across business, technology, risk, and compliance partners
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience leading senior product managers and multi-disciplinary teams with clear accountability and outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical strategy and tradeoffs to executive audiences

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience leading data platform or data product functions within consumer banking, retail banking, or financial technology at scale
  • Familiarity with enterprise data architecture patterns and operating models for data ownership and stewardship
  • Experience delivering internal developer and data-user experience products such as data catalogs, lineage tools, and self-service publishing portals
  • Experience leading organizational transformation, platform consolidation, or large-scale modernization programs in a matrixed environment
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
