Full Job Description
The Problem

As Flock expands camera deployments nationwide, scaling our internal field operations tools is essential to operational velocity. Deploying physical hardware at scale requires streamlined installer tooling, automated permitting workflows, and reliable systems for field deployment teams. You will lead our internal field operations product suite, partner with Operations leaders, and turn field friction into automated, high-performing product software.

What You'll Own
  • Lead product strategy and execution for the internal software suite powering field deployment, camera installations, and permitting workflows.
  • Direct a team of Product Managers responsible for internal operational tooling, guiding portfolio-level tradeoffs and roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Operations executives to translate field deployment bottlenecks into scalable software capabilities, workflow optimizations, and practical AI automation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, AI/Data Science, and Applications teams to embed intelligent automation directly into installer and permitting systems.
  • Establish clear product engagement frameworks across implementation, delivery, customer, and supportability product lanes.

What This Role is Not
  • This isn't a program management or operations process role, you will lead product strategy, software roadmaps, and technical tradeoffs for internal platforms.
  • This is not a customer-facing product role, your primary users are internal field deployment teams, installers, permitting coordinators, and operations managers.
  • This isn't a passive lead position, you will stay close to execution details and engage in architecture-level system and data flow decisions with engineering.

What You Bring
  • Proven track record leading product managers and owning internal tools, operational systems, or technical platform products.
  • Practical capability to redesign complex workflows and deploy automation to improve operational scale and execution quality.
  • Strong product judgment with the ability to navigate high-dependency environments and build trust with executive operational stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging in technical tradeoff discussions and system architecture reasoning alongside Engineering, AI, and Data Science teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to grow high-performing product management teams while staying grounded in execution details.

Compensation

In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $200,000 and $250,000 as well as Flock Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in depth with you during our first chat.

Some problems get solved faster in the same room, so we prioritize candidates in Atlanta and Boston. Hub-based roles mean real in-person time with your coworkers. Remote roles exist, and when a posting is open to remote work, it says so.
