Supports end-to-end insurance product development by translating underwriting intent into compliant coverage forms and endorsements, monitoring regulatory changes, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver timely filings and system implementations. Provides market intelligence and competitive insights, resolves field inquiries, and helps address Department of Insurance (DOI) objections to ensure products remain accurate, competitive, and compliant.
Overview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. This is a multi-disciplinary role with responsibility for market intelligence, regulatory and/or underwriting operations and technical development and implementation.
This position is hybrid out of any AmTrust office. 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home.
Responsibilities
· Develop, revise and maintain Coverage Form and Endorsement language to ensure terms accurately reflect underwriting intent and are compliant with state regulations.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting, Claims, Legal and Technology teams for speed to market.
· Stay apprised of regulatory and legal changes that may impact lines of business and policy language.
· Research questions from the field both internally and externally.
· Perform competitive analyses.
· Assist with response to DOI objections, collaborating with Underwriting as needed.
· Review system requirements with IT for programming, ensuring consistency with the approved filings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years product development experience.
- Significant knowledge of Renters, Travel and Ticket insurance products and coverage offerings.
- Familiarity with bureau forms, rates and rules.
- Ability to interpret insurance rules and regulations and apply knowledge for the highest standard of compliance.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's Degree, CPCU or other related insurance course work.
The expected salary range for this role is $90,000-$120,000/year.
