RoleThe legal team provides proactive and strategic legal counseling to accelerate our business, ensure smooth operations, and enable fast-paced progress toward our mission. As Product Counsel, you will lead legal strategy for our product development. You will guide cross-functional teams through the entire lifecycle of our products-collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to review new features, evaluate risks, and build compliance pathways. This role requires a balance between offering clear, practical legal guidance and supporting the steady progress of our business goals.
How your work moves the mission forward- Advise Intrinsic's R&D, engineering and product teams on a broad range of legal and policy considerations for the responsible development and deployment of intelligent robotics systems.
- Collaborate with legal, policy, regulatory, and compliance teams on strategic responses and readiness for emerging laws, regulations, and policies.
- Communicate clearly with senior management on legal and related considerations for high-priority efforts.
- Develop and improve ways of using AI tools to augment work individually and as a team.
Skills you will need to be successful- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 7 years of attorney-level experience in private practice and in-house.
- Counseling experience in product, IP, commercial, competition and privacy law.
- Experience working across legal, policy, regulatory, and compliance teams.
- Admitted to the CA bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in California.

- Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams on legal and business risks.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior legal team members.

The base salary for this full-time position is between $252,800 - $323,9000 (USD) + 25% bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
