Full Job Description
ClarityPay seeks a Product Counsel to join its foundational legal and compliance team. This senior role is central to supporting the company's rapid growth as a fintech innovator in consumer and small business lending. The Product Counsel will serve as a key advisor on regulatory and operational matters, providing legal guidance across new product development, compliance, and commercial contracting.

The successful candidate will act as an in-house expert on lending regulations, proactively tracking changes and ensuring ClarityPay's offerings remain compliant and competitive. Responsibilities include leading regulatory requirements for product launches, conducting legal risk assessments, supporting compliance and customer service teams, and collaborating on internal policy development. The role also involves managing commercial contracts and driving key legal and compliance projects in partnership with the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer.

Candidates should bring a JD from a top-tier law school, at least 7 years of legal experience (including 2+ years in a law firm), and deep expertise in consumer financial services regulation. Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills are essential, as is the ability to leverage modern technology-including AI tools-in legal work. Experience in fintech lending, regulatory risk assessment, and supporting compliance functions is highly valued.
