Full Job Description
Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of departments involved with product change, gathering and communicating information, resolving conflicts, and establishing schedules to meet project goals.
  • Assist Program Managers with project tracking, scheduling, and reporting on major projects.
  • Use database tools and tracking systems to develop parts lists and inventory transition plans for projects.
  • Develop implementation schedules for projects.
  • Prepare and issue advance parts information on projects to appropriate Purchasing, Materials, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel.
  • Maintain contact with Engineering, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Sales and Marketing, and Plant Operations to resolve issues.
  • Verify that Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspection results will be on record to support the implementation schedule.
  • Ensure that Tollgate meetings are held.
  • Interact with Marketing, Pricing, and Sales Administration to ensure the Dealer Bulletin content and timing are correct, and to resolve definition, scheduling, and pricing issues associated with customer orders in the order backlog.
  • Ensure that Plants and Suppliers have been provided with all information required to produce new or revised parts and products.
  • Act as a central contact for gathering and disseminating product change information.


Qualifications & Skills

  • BS/BA degree required; APICS, or PMP certification desired.
  • Prior academic or certification in program management or related topics desired
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of Materials, Plant, or Purchasing experience required.
  • Requires familiarity with Kenworth products and business processes.
  • Database and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the desire to work in a challenging environment, working under pressure, and bringing difficult problems to successful resolution.

Additional Job Board Information

The salary range for the Product Change Administrator $90,400 - $141,800 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
