Here's what you will do in this role: • Participate in the design and development of truck programs.
• Utilize Creo/Pro-E to create optimized part and assembly of moderate to complex designs requiring independent judgment.
• Work with internal and external organizations to validate the designs.
• Utilize PACCAR and industry systems to manage the product implementation process, track costs, and support new product introductions.
• Work closely with multiple PACCAR divisions.
Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- 0-1+ years of experience in product design and development required, experience in heavy-duty vehicles or automotive structures/interiors preferred
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects from concept through production, managing scope, timing, and deliverables
- Strong expertise in cab structures, interiors, and multi-system integration, including structural components, packaging, and interface design
- Proficient in CAD tools (Creo/Pro-E preferred) with solid understanding of materials, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes (stamping, plastics, trim systems)
- Demonstrated ability to drive system-level design decisions impacting fit & finish, durability, and overall product performance
- Lead cross-functional teams (manufacturing, validation, suppliers) to execute projects and resolve issues related to quality, durability, and integration
- Drive engineering solutions from concept through production to ensure successful product launch and implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently under limited direction and manage complex technical challenges
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) or equivalent DFSS experience; demonstrated application of structured problem-solving methodologies to improve quality and performance
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and divisions; serves as a technical resource and mentor to other
Preferred: P.E. license (or in progress), experience supporting product launches, customer interactions, and supplier integration.

The salary range for Project Engineer - Sustaining Structures and Interiors is $70,500 - 105,800 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift.
