Caterpillar’s Customer Solutions Core Regions Division is hiring a highly experienced, customer‑facing Product Application Specialist to lead VisionLink adoption across our customer base.

The CI Technology Portfolio includes but is not limited to: VisionLink (equipment management & productivity), Cat Payload, Cat Grade (grade control), CAT Command (remote control machines), Detect (safety solutions), and other productivity and safety‑enabled solutions.

Role Summary:

This role is designed for a senior professional with deep product knowledge, strong technical credibility, and the ability to lead complex discussions with dealers and customers to drive measurable productivity and safety outcomes. The CI Technology Portfolio includes but is not limited to: VisionLink (equipment management & productivity), Cat Payload, Cat Grade (grade control), CAT Command (remote control machines), Detect (safety solutions), and other productivity and safety‑enabled solutions.

What You’ll Do (Job Duties)

  • Provide product application expertise at point of sale, or by delivering various types of product training including applied technology, job efficiency, and safety to customers, company and dealers' sales personnel.

  • Conduct product performance studies, assess customer job sites efficiency, collecting product and customer requirements in order to capitalize opportunities for incremental sales to create business case for product improvement process and new product introduction program.

  • Manage the marketing technology tools/systems and works with key stakeholders to develop a marketing technology product roadmap to drive business growth.

  • Collaborating with other internal teams to get alignment on timelines, understanding marketing goals, and developing the marketing technology product roadmap.

  • Oversee VisionLink activations, training plans for dealers and customers, and collecting customer requirements to feed back to Product Group to ensure consistent focus on delivering solutions to solve our customers’ pain points.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Experience developing and scaling sales for new or expanding technology portfolios.

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with dealers and customers on construction technology solutions.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.

  • Proven capability to influence dealer personnel and customers without direct authority.

  • Strong leadership presence, organization, analytical, and communication skills.

  • This position is located in Peoria, IL or Irving, TX.

  • Domestic relocation assistance is available.

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% travel to Canada and Western US.


 

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
