About the Team:
We are seeking a Product Analytics Associate to serve as a critical bridge between Product, Data Science, Client Delivery, and Sales. In this role, you will lead high value initiatives that are an essential part in driving Medidata's Study Experience product roadmap. You will work on initiatives focused on building new study insights, improving data quality, and supporting the development of advanced AI predictive models. Additionally, you will be instrumental in providing continuous analytics support for pre-sales proposals and client engagements to ensure we provide actionable insights to our customers.
Responsibilities:Product Development and Data Science Innovation
- New Insights Development: Explore internal data sources based on customer feedback and market needs to develop new, actionable insights and metrics for our customers
- Metric Refinement: Enhance existing product metrics to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability across platforms.
- AI Development: independently define and own product requirements for predictive models, partnering with Data Science teams to spearhead product requirements, research, validation for predictive models, ensuring outputs are trusted and understood by customers.
Client Delivery and Revenue Enablement
- Customer Analytics: own the end to end development of complex analytics solutions, determining methods and approaches with minimal direction Develop insights that address immediate client needs and serve as validation for future roadmap features
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expect and primary point of contact across Data Engineering, Product Owners, Data Operations and Client Delivery teams - proactively identifying and resolving cross functional issues
Successful candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata's journey of powering smarter treatments and healthier people.
Qualifications:- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree, in one of the following types of highly structured or scientific environments: management/healthcare consulting, life sciences, data and analytics role
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and concepts (e.g, Python, SQL, R)
- A passion for understanding complex issues with a data driven approach
- Outstanding structured and critical thinking
- Product or Project Management experience to oversee metric development, productization, and cross-functional roadmap alignment spanning multiple products
- The ability to interface directly with internal stakeholders and with clients to generate actionable and scalable self-service analytics tools
The following will be helpful, but are not essential:
- Strong performance in a MS program in Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in Life sciences or across the healthcare value chain
- An entrepreneurial drive and a passion to advance the development of new treatments
- A strong analytical background and the ability to quickly digest and evaluate complex analyses with a keen eye for detail
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in New York will be $114,750- $153,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $114750 and $153000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
