Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Analyst II independently delivers analysis, transition readiness, documentation, testing, support, and lifecycle-management activities for applications internally built on McCarthy's Foundry platform. This role serves as a receiving and product-management partner as Foundry applications move from development, pilot, or hypercare into the Digital Products & Platforms portfolio and steady-state ownership.

The role translates business needs and product-transition requirements into actionable work, drives solution options in partnership with Product Leads, Foundry Engineering & Intelligence teams, business sponsors, and technical teams, and takes ownership of acceptance criteria, documentation, support readiness, testing, backlog management, and Tier 2 product support with minimal day-to-day direction. The analyst helps ensure that internally built applications are usable, supportable, governed, measurable, and continuously improved after handoff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned Foundry applications, including their business processes, users, data dependencies, integrations, operating procedures, and lifecycle status.
  • Coordinates application intake and transition from Foundry development into steady-state ownership by validating product artifacts, readiness criteria, risks, dependencies, ownership, support tiers, and escalation paths.
  • Partners with business sponsors, Foundry Engineering & Intelligence, Product Support, Digital Business Partners, power users, and technical teams to improve usability, reliability, adoption, process efficiency, visibility, and decision support.
  • Translates business needs, user feedback, transition gaps, and production issues into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, support scenarios, and backlog items; performs fit-gap analysis with the Product Lead.
  • Plans and executes application configuration, testing, release validation, and user acceptance activities, ensuring changes meet defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintains product, data, integration, release, training, and support documentation, including runbooks, troubleshooting guidance, known issues, access procedures, and knowledge articles.
  • Provides structured Tier 2 support and manages post-transition product health by classifying and routing issues, maintaining backlog and release inputs, monitoring usage and support trends, and contributing to change management, governance, and lifecycle decisions.

Success Criteria
  • Assigned Foundry applications have clear business and product ownership, documented scope, lifecycle status, and accepted transition criteria.
  • Applications entering steady-state ownership have current runbooks, support procedures, escalation paths, access guidance, known issues, data and integration documentation, and training materials.
  • Transition and release activities are traceable to requirements, acceptance criteria, decisions, risks, dependencies, and readiness evidence, with low rework and minimal production defects.
  • Tier 2 issues are resolved within agreed timeframes, with recurring problems addressed through durable solutions and requests consistently classified and routed.
  • Usage, adoption, incident, performance, data-quality, and support metrics are available and used to guide improvement and lifecycle decisions.
  • Business stakeholders view assigned Foundry applications as usable, reliable, supportable, and responsive to business needs.
  • The Group Product Manager and Product Lead view the Analyst as a dependable partner for application intake, transition, delivery, support, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in product management, systems analysis, business analysis, application support, implementation, or a related role managing business applications through launch, transition, or steady-state operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Solid understanding of business application lifecycles and the ability to map current-state and future-state workflows, ownership models, support needs, and transition requirements.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, user story writing, process mapping, acceptance criteria, and designing practical product or configuration changes in partnership with Product and technical teams.
  • Experience with application testing, release validation, support readiness, runbooks, knowledge articles, Tier 2 support, root-cause analysis, and converting incidents or feedback into clear backlog items.
  • Ability to monitor usage, adoption, incident, performance, and support trends and turn them into actionable insights while partnering effectively with business sponsors, engineers, support teams, and technical partners.
