About this RolePAR Electrical Contractors LLC, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager who will be responsible for leading sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and strategic procurement initiatives that support field operations and project execution across multiple regions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontracted services are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with project schedules, operational requirements, and company standards. As a key partner to Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Executive Leadership, the Procurement Manager drives supply chain performance, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and vendor relationships to support successful project delivery and profitability. This position requires a strong understanding of construction and utility supply chains, strategic sourcing practices, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can effectively balance operational demands with long-term procurement strategies while supporting PAR Electrical Contractors' commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and operational excellence.
Candidates may be in either Kansas City or Denver.
What You'll Do- Lead procurement strategies for materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontracted services across projects and regions.
- Manage supplier sourcing, qualification, selection, and negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and service providers.
- Partner with Operations, Construction, and Project Management teams to ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with project schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels, demand planning activities, and supply chain logistics to support operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, standardization, and supplier consolidation.
- Oversee purchase order management, contract compliance, and procurement documentation.
- Analyze procurement spend, supplier performance, and market trends to support informed business decisions.
- Mitigate supply chain risks, including material shortages, delivery delays, and pricing fluctuations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives.
- Support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives aligned with PAR Electrical Contractors and Quanta Services objectives.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the procurement process.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 7-12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or purchasing.
- Experience supporting construction, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with demonstrated success managing supplier relationships and pricing agreements.
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, and services utilized in electrical transmission, distribution, substation, renewable energy, or utility construction projects.
- Experience working in a project-based environment with changing priorities and aggressive schedules.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including spend analysis, forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, inventory management platforms, and reporting tools.
- Understanding of supply chain logistics, inventory planning, and risk management strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across Operations, Finance, Project Management, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting electrical utility, transmission, distribution, substation, renewable energy, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or similar supply chain credentials.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, COUPA, Ariba, Viewpoint, or related procurement and ERP systems.
- Experience leading procurement teams, regional sourcing programs, or enterprise-wide supplier initiatives.
