Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Onsite - Durham, NC

Base Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000 per year

Role Description

The Procurement Manager focused on day-to-day procurement and vendor oversight. This role ensures timely purchasing of goods and services while maintaining strict quality and delivery standards. The manager will handle tactical procurement functions and liaise with suppliers to resolve quality or performance issues.

Role Attributes

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, RFQs, PO issuance, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate and lead supplier quality assessments.
  • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers while managing short and long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communications, to ensure calibration of activities with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with finance for forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting related to procurement activities.
  • Lead or participate in contract renewals and compliance audits.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrable negotiation and contract management skills/experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring grit and tenacity.
  • Any previous exposure to start-up environments or face-paced workplaces is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Must be onsite at our Durham HQ during work hours.

Education/Experience Expectations

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPM/CPSM preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role preferred.
